Welcome to the world of MI Smarts!

Inspired by Psychologist Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory, Mi Smarts (pronounced My) teaches children that we all have different minds, which play an important role in how we understand ourselves and the world around us. It is through our Smarts that young people get a chance to understand themselves and to explore different ways of learning and interacting.

There are nine individual intelligences or SMARTS. Each represents and describes the the way we think, feel and learn.

Explore Your Smart, Empower Your Heart.

After ten years of working in schools and private practice, I developed a formula to ensure that children are able to express themselves creatively. In doing so, they have a voice and they are valued. I use a creative and holistic approach to help children understand how they shine as an individual.

I noticed that so many of my young clients were feeling inadequate when it came to how they perceived themselves within the classroom setting. This is when Mi Smarts came to fruition. I felt impelled to create a program where all children could express their feelings both verbally and non verbally through the combination of various artistic modalities in a safe and nurturing way.

Mi Smarts allows children to explore their unique way of thinking while nourishing their imagination and supporting their inner world. Mi Smarts facilitates self acceptance and expression.

Let's celebrate our kids!

It's not about how Smart you are, but what Smarts you have that help you understand your gifts that are to be shared with yourself and with the world.

"This is the compass between your mind and your heart. Make sure to not let them be worlds apart. Help them remain the best of friends so your journey to you is very well spent."

“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
